Pray for our global partners, missions, & guidance
As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 Thessalonians 3:1

Our global partners are no different from us, and they often deal with many of the same challenges that we face.  They are not immune to selfishness, pride, loneliness, fear, doubts, or struggles with pursuing God each day.  At the same time, the cultural context in which they work, daily pressure, and spiritual attacks can all bring greater stress and strain to their lives.

Above all else, our desire is that God would be magnified through them and their ministries.  This happens as we humbly commit them to the Lord in prayer.  God works through prayer, so let’s partner with Him in His great plan for the nations.

We believe that prayer is not just an afterthought to what we do, but it is an essential part of missions. Prayer takes our partners, their ministry, their families, and us right into the throne room of God. It gives us the opportunity to join God on his global mission of bringing all people to himself. We invite you to join us in prayer.

The best way to have our prayers answered is to pray what God wants us to pray for!  We do that by praying God’s heart as found in the Bible back to him.

- That God would be exalted and glorified among all people.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth. Psalm 57:5

- For workers in the difficult places of the world.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38

.
- For great outpouring of God’s Spirit on the people groups bringing conviction of sin.

When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: John 16:8

- Boldness in proclamation.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Colossians 4:2-4

- New converts will be biblically discipled and will grow in Jesus and have joy in persecution.

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”1 Peter 2: 21-24

Praying about how to be involved in missions is crucial. It can be helpful to pray about specific areas that define fruitful missionary service.

A clear and undivided focus on Jesus.

Functioning well in community with others

Continuing to learn about missions.

Seeking to understand my unique contribution.

Living in Faith

Loving Father, I pray that my participation in missions would flow out of an undivided heart that wants to glorify Jesus alone. Please help me not to get distracted with the things of this world. At the same time, please guide my spiritual mentors so they can give me practical and spiritual advice that comes from you and has my best interests in view. Help me to grow in my understanding of your plan for the world so that I may know how to personally participate in your mission to bring salvation to all people. Father, increase my faith so that I may act on what you show me.
In Jesus name, amen.
